Coding, coding, coding . . .
I had a fun time adding interlanguage search to WikiFur this weekend. It's a bit of a hack - it only searches English, for a start - but it's what we need . . . and given that PHP is not my first language, I was happy to get it doing anything. The alternative was Lucene search, which would be overkill right now. I also snuck in links to article lists on wikifur.com.

Thank you so much Green Reaper for working so hard for WikiFur! That site has helped familiarize me with so much about the furry fandom, especially when I first discovered it. I don't always understand (ok, usually don't understand) what it is you mean when you post updates, but I do know that you put your time and effort into WikiFur. I really appreciate it C:

I guess I need to make myself more understandable, otherwise people might not understand how to use it. :-)

Unfortunately the server changes are not very useful for the people editing the English version - since it's not on wikifur.com yet - but that should change soon . . .

Well, our articles can always do with illustrations! In fact RainRat has an ongoing art drive where he offers $10 CDN per piece added to WikiFur that meets various requirements (notably, it must be under a free license so that others can use and modify it as with our text, and that there must be no other freely-licensed images on that page). It doesn't have to be great - something like this would probably qualify.

Other than that - just use the site, and if you see something that you could improve, edit it. Tell your friends and associates. Link to us (at the new location, use en.wikifur.com in URLs rather than furry.wikia.com - or just link wikifur.com if you want a home page). Every little helps.
