Digital Juice special on animated video transitions

Digital Juice has a special on their new "Swipes!" digital animation transitions - just $80 for three DVDs (or $85 after shipping). Most of their stuff is $99 per DVD, but you can get them cheaper on their specials. If it's what you're looking for, it's a good deal - I'm no digital animator, so I can't make this stuff up myself, and even if I did, it'd probably take me far longer than it's worth.

They also have a special on the Editor's Toolkit 10 - just $99 if you add it to an order. Alternatively, they have a Starter Pack for $169. Worth considering, since both offer a variety of elements.

You should also look at their DJ TV training videos, the reason I was there in the first place. Better yet, these are free. :-)

Starting my mobile video studio

As foreshadowed by my last post . . . I'm preparing for Anthrocon 2007, and one of the things I intend to do there is capture a bit of video. I've tried this at previous conventions, but (as expected) found my photo camera less than ideal for the purpose. So, over the last month or so I've been doing a bit of research, and a few weeks ago - after finding that the best camcorder for my purposes was being discontinued and would soon no longer be available - I decided to make some purchases. I thought I'd share the results with you guys, as I'm sure some of you have similar interests. And if you don't, it's not a bad one to pick up!

So what camcorder? And what else?Collapse )
